Because the best way to recharge is to unplug…..

Wowwwww, what a semester it has been so far. I have about 27 more days until student teaching is over, and 41 more days until I’m walking across that stage again for degree number two. Life has been crazy but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. There’s something to do everyday, even when there’s nothing to do…if you know what I mean.

There’s some satisfaction in knowing that you’re going so hard day to day, accomplishing / checking off those things on your to do list but at the same time you still want more. That balance between working so hard, feeling so proud of yourself but at the same time beating yourself up because you’re totally exhausted but you CAN’T and you could use a week in bed lol. I literally don’t know what I’d do without my I-Cal  , happy planner, and my clear app (lifesaving). I’ve recently started getting into bullet journaling so I’ll be sharing that journey soon!

This post is just a reminder to give yourself some slack sometimes, take a break, unplug, there is so much more to life than constantly keeping up with the latest Facebook post …which has now become the latest source for alternative news, what your favorite celebrity is tweeting, refreshing that Instagram feed, or the infamous snapchat.

And when you do unplug…even if it’s for an hour, a day, or a week…..

1. Keep a gratitude list.

2. Don’t just shower, light a candle, throw on a face mask, run a bubble bath.

3. Eat an awesome meal…my go to feel good food is pasta!

4. Meditate.
