One of my favorite things about Columbia is the Soda City market on Saturdays, 9am – 1pm, rain or shine! They feature Artisans, Local Retailers, Collectors, Produce, Ethnic Foods and Grocery, Baked Goods, Music, etc. It gives small businesses the opportunity to interact with the community and share their passion. Whether you go to eat, shop, people watch, or grab some fresh produce from local farmers market. There’s something for everyone!
I normally go to grub, it’s like brunch without the bloody mary’s and mimosas. My must haves when I go to the market include: mango con chile y lemon from Family Fresh Mexican Taqueria and a breakfast waffle from the Belgian Waffle Truck .
I also decided to try out a slice of avocado toast from avocadotoastsc. They have a variety of things to add, from roasted tomatoes to chicken! I decided to keep it on the lighter side and top mine off with cilantro and roasted red peppers…yum!
A few of my other favorite vendors are: Anson Mills , BBQ Bus, Carolina Popcorn, Chill Out Pops, City Roots, Gin’s Juice, Lemonade Stand, and The Wurst Wagon.
My Soda City trip usually concludes with a trip to Starbucks, conveniently located in the heart of the action!
Preferred Beverages: Very Berry Hibiscus (summer sips) & Green Tea Latte (winter sips).
